WHAT DOES 'x' STANDS FOR IN CDROM-58X?

WHAT DOES 'x' STANDS FOR IN CDROM-58X?

Really antediluvian CD ROM devices be slow. 2X CD Roms be double speed. Yours is 58 times faster.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
the x stand for the speed if im not mistaking
x stands for SPEED at which it reads notes. Your cd-rom reads at 58speed...this is with the sole purpose true on the very outer portion of the disk though :)
It is for X-Rated. Your CDROM drive will be virtuous for viewing porno and dirty movies. YOU PREVERT!!
It's the drive's speed compared to the first CD-ROM drives. So the original ones be actually 1x, and 58x vehicle it's 58 times faster.
Maximum CD ROM reading speed.

1x=175 kbyte/second

For your compact disc rom:

58x = 58 x 175 = 10150 kbyte/second (maximum)
1x=175 kbyte/second

For your CD rom:

58x = 58 x 175 = 10150 kbyte/second

ur cd rom will read maximum of 10 MB persecond
'X' stands for the read/write speed of the compact disc drive.
ther was a standard speed contained by CD-ROM's and the x is equall the "multiply". CD-ROM-58X mean that your CD-ROM speed is the standard CD-ROM speed multiply to 58.
