What is a PCI express slot, it say it lower than what video card i hold on the side of my computer?

The newest standard for motherboards is PCI express or PCI-E. They own been out 2-3 years. A PCI-E motherboard will usually enjoy one 16X slot for the graphics card and other standard PCI and PCI-E slots.

Some mobo's will have two 16X graphics slots so you can use two graphics cards for better gaming ceremony. This is called SLI for NVidia cards.

Older PCI boards used AGP slots for graphics cards. If your computer or mobo is plausible new, it will use PCI-E.
its the type of slot that you want to plug that perticular vid card into you motherboard. if you bought a decent computer from any label brand then that will work. i own seen a few custom computers next to tight motherboards that have a different style though.
that's simply a slot for a video card.
The video card is IN your computer.

A slot is where you put the card IN, because you wouldn't put it anywhere contained by the tower.

A PCI Express slot looks like this:

And the card go in between.

Pci express is the newest/fastest slot all the same.

The ranking of the slots depending on the speed if i'm not mistaken are:

1. PCI Express

2. AGP

3. PCI
I have an awesome pattern site for you. I suggest this to learn almost many things.
