What drive(s) do I involve to demand on a topical PC to copy DVD movies?

It depends on where on earth you are going to copy the movies..

If u copy movies from discs to discs then you hold to buy a DVD/rw, otherwise (from discs to hard disk) afterwards you dont need a DVD/rw.

Anyway I suggest you to buy a DVD/rw which could do adjectives your needs..And more essential, once you have setup ur DVD/rw consequently you need a DVD copy tool for making DVD copies, purely check the tools listed contained by the following source, I hope they will help you when you own bought your DVD-rw :)
You really don't need two.

Copy the DVD to the rock-hard drive, then burn it to DVD from here.
You CAN NOT buy a drive to copy DVD movies if they are encrypted. If you are talking in the region of copying a home made DVD a DVD ROM and a DVD Writer will work. Almost all DVDs that you can buy or rent are encrypted. No DVD Writer will copy an encrypted DVD, and even if you get by to copy a DVD most players have be set up not to read copied DVDs. You can not even copy it to your hard drive. You involve special software to rip the DVD from the discs, and decrypt it. The software is free, but it is illegal within the US and most other countries to download it, because it allows you to break international copyright laws.
