is it they own to troubleshoot hardware/networking related problems on phone. is it manually by opening laptop or voice based.

Never hear of a tech support executive!
I am a technical support executive, I run live voice troubleshooting, hardware and software installation. Depending on the Technical Support Representaive, you can go and get quality assistance. The companies provide their personnel with the software to assist within the diagnosis and repair of computer systems. We either transport a technician to you, send you the module for call stern and walk through installation or return to the company for repair. All these depends on your service contract.
