What do you have an idea that is the best amd socket type right in a minute?

ex: 754, 939, 940, AM2, F, S1



I am thinking surrounded by terms of upgradability, and price ratio of motherboard to chip.

What do you have an idea that is the best amd socket type right in a minute?

AM2 is the best, but they do NOT suppor the elder socket types, but they will be backwards compatible with upcoming AM2+ and AM3 sockets.
AM2 I deliberate would be your best bet, as for availability it would be 939 (single & dual cores) or 940 (opterons dual core). I would def. get a motherboard next to AM2 socket support at the very most minuscule so then your prepared and all AM2 mobo's support the elder socket types anyways!
