what is an e-machine computer?

what is an e-machine computer?

It's an inexpensive brand of computer.
A piece of unwanted items best left to the dumpster.
A cheap computer that you can buy at wal-mart near not so great hardware in it
eMachine is the entitle brand of an affordable line of computers. They are your rough and ready, everyday computer. They're not really designed for complex programs or gaming but are for use of everyday things such as internet, email, and word processing.

eMachines, one of the the world's fastest growing and most efficient PC maker, was acquire by Gateway, Inc. in March 2004 for $262 million surrounded by cash and shares. It remains a stand-alone brand specifically sold through leading retailers and catalog and online merchandisers surrounded by the U.S. and selected market abroad.

Since its launch surrounded by 1998, eMachines shipped more than five million eMachines systems. It was the second-largest broker of desktop PCs sold through U.S. retailers.

Internationally, the low-cost, full-featured systems are sold in Japan and the UK, beside further expansion into Western Europe planned soon.
A piece of junk...not worth buying.
"eMachines" is a lower-cost computer brand produced by the company Gateway.

Their trellis site is http://www.emachines.com/ or www.gateway.com

I have purchased several and found them to be faultlessly adequate computers. They can be found online, or at retailers approaching BestBuy.
An inexpensive Gateway PC.
