What do I call for to produce a Mac clone?

I enjoy no Idea what I need to brand name a Mac clone. I know Mac OS X can run on intel processors and I need a tower. I presume I might get a G4 Tower. All the componets and parts hold to work w/ Mac OS X. Any ideas?

What do I call for to produce a Mac clone?

Well for starters, you possible will not be able to do so minus obtaining a bona fide Apple logic board (motherboard in PC lexicon). On the PowerPC side, Apple have a minimal boot rom that was required even up to that time the Open Firmware (somewhat similar to a BIOS) took over the machine. No boot rom = no Mac OS X.

On the Intel side, it's extremely interesting to say the most minuscule. Apple no longer really relies on a boot rom of any sort but instead relies on a Trust Platform Module (TPM) that works in nouns with the logic board. On top of that, the lower horizontal firmware on an Intel Mac is based on EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface). So if one be to try to clone, I would guess they would need to buy a motherboard next to EFI support and perhaps whichever component the TPM module is subdivision of.

Now that this is covered, you will likely necessitate an NVIDIA or ATI video card that has be flashed for the Mac.

To clear up a misconception though in your interview, the G4 tower is a PowerPC-based processor, NOT an Intel-based one.
